The day became to me like little silver rain drops
splattered on green leaves,
in no particular form or pattern yet all about to see,
gathered in tiny puddles and gemstone looking beads,
tiny drops of silver splattered on green leaves.

Telling of an event that occurred in my absence,
standing there to be viewed as a testament of its happening,
overlooked by passing pedestrians too hurried for them to see,
little silver rain drops splattered on green leaves.

Little silver rain drops on leaves still holding green,
as daylight grows shorter and night becomes longer,
days turn cooler and clouds hover over
little silver rain drops waiting patiently.

Their purpose there obscure intended to be as they are,
life givers to those who receive them,
refreshment for all who would claim them,
little silver rain drops splattered on green leaves.

How delicate they look there, small beads of silver spheres,
how gallant they appear from their journey's dare,
falling from the sky without a worry one,
little silver rain drops kissed by radiant sun.

Glowing every shade of light captured in their care,
catching eyes of dreamers who look for treasures rare,
a challenge to diamond prisms refracting light in beams,
little silver rain drops splattered on green leaves.
