Snowflakes in the wind a kaleidoscope of white
Dance softly before my face picking up the light
Gift from old man winter to dazzle passers by
Glorious frozen wonder makes the sentimental cry
Whimsical in nature decorating the nighttime sky
Playful individuals do float precariously by
Children faces filled with glee to make a snowman white
Laughter comes from friends to see they'll be skiing here,
come Alaska mornings dim daylight
Yummy taste of snow ice-cream
Snowflakes bring pleasures so many ways
Thoughts of Yule-time memories and many happy days
Soft and cold to the touch winters reality in form,
makes the smell of fireplaces seem to be the norm
Dancing snowflakes in the wind kaleidoscope of white
Dancing so very softly before my awe struck eyes
Beautiful gift from old man winter to dazzle passers by
Glorious frozen wonder brings tears of joy to my eyes

You know that I am NOT fond of winter, or snow; but this writing makes me remember what the winter season gives us by His hand. We tend to forget it's beauty. Thank you for reminding me of the beauty we take for granted each year my dearest friend! Love and miss ya!!!
I do love the snow but as it is first of March and we are about to be pounded by another major snowstorm my first thoughts of this were bahhhhh hum bug but the beauty or your write changed my mind.
