Just looking out my window and realizing yes the worst of winter is over...yea

Looking Out

I look out the window on our world outside

stretched out before me from fourteen floors up

is the perfect panorama of the country side

Lake Banook shrugged off its blanket of ice and snow

now lays aglitter with sunshine hitting its surface

like beads of sweat on a morning after virgin bride

St. Paddy’s Day almost like an appetizer to us all

of the upcoming official opening day of spring

and the eventual greening of all outside

Okay now tis time to shut down this computer

grab an old familiar sweater and a baseball cap

sick of from the cold I have tried to hide…

let’s go for a walk.

I have been as well walking and they say we are getting up to like 70 by tomorrow or Friday...but it is still only March and I remember it snowing in April, so don't unbatten all those hatches just yet...e
