Burgundy Days

 

Strawberry, cranberries, cherries and plums

Paint the walls around our world

The heat of summer has diminished

As the leafs are tossed and twirled

 

 

I feel so privileged to just have you

Hold me as autumn tints hypnotize

Your body close chases the chill away

As I get lost forever in your eyes

 

 

Harvest of fruit colors paint the world

But your beauty outshines them all

No artist brush could ever capture

A walk with my girl in the fall…

Rich in love and the unrivaled beauty of nature's ongoing art show Felix. As one of Mechanic's Illustrated old writers, Thom McCahill would have described your poem, "as smooth as Brill Creme(for you older folks of my era) on the head of an aging bald man".
