Night Beach

I know that I should just go to bed

But then again I doubt I’ll sleep

I’ll toss and turn in restless dreams

Drowning in emotions running deep

 

I thought of taking a night drive

Down to wander on the ocean's beach

Walk the drifting sands of timelessness

Maybe love won’t feel so out of reach

 

Yes, I think I’ll take me a night drive

Soothe my soul with the ebbing tide

Mayhap the sea will ease the ache

Of the unexplained blues I feel inside…

Felix, white sand at night at the sea's edge in pure magic. A elixir for contentment and love too. You said this with romantic beauty my friend. May this night find you in the arms of joy and love, nestling at the shore in white sand 'neath the moon. Jon Michael

I always loved the lake at night. the soft sound of the water kissing the sand and the quietness all around. Nicely done Fee. Sad but nice

hi Fee, doubt always creats problem, it happens with me too at times, but when i read...things fall in shape and place and then..i forget...and zzzzzzzzzz....

dip into the tide too
& cleanse it all away...
unexplainable emotions really do weigh heavy
and you express it so well here
I would love to visit the sea or ocean
at a moments notice too
anytime

I love to walk around after everyone is asleep, it's the only time I can find some peace and quiet.

I've felt like this so many times, Fee! I often feel this way when I think about Newfoundland.....I haven't been back in seven years, but I'm going for a week mid-October, and I can't wait to walk along the beach in my hometown. Growing up right on the bay instilled a restlessness in me that is appeased only by a trip to the ocean door. Enjoyed this my friend!

One of the places I enjoy to be when time is needed to heal the internal wounds. I am drooling over the photgraph, maybe I can stare at it an imagine taking a late night stroll...

Fee, I know just how you feel, when love is just out of reach! I often go to the beach and put out my intentions to the Universe and the ocean's energy I feel moves these intentions all that much more quickly. Lovely feel to this poem and the photo is perfection!
