The Tree
If I could be a tree
Which one would I be?
That flowers in the spring,
Leaves with a melody to sing.
Maybe a maple, oak or a pine
No, it must be a different kind!
Now lets see what it could be;
OH! I know, A Dogwood Tree.
Tall, Straight and full of Strength
Used as the Cross for its' Length.
Never again to be strong and tall,
Just branches and somewhat small.
Its' blossoms of summer a story tells
The Crown of Thorns and The Nails.
Stimulating composition leading the reader to know the mysteries of
Mother Nature... "The Tree" isnpires wise thoughts.
I salute You, Poet!
