It's been so long since I've written any kind of sonnet I'm afraid my sonnet quill is quite dusty but here goes....
A Need Commanded (English sonnet)
In quiet times of thought and reflection When I tally what life has brought to me I count blessings within dreams' protection And truths that color fate, my destiny. That I survived and knew of comfort's skin, A miracle indeed, it should be known, For cruelties and realities' sin Have shadowed my footsteps, but I have grown To understand there lives inside my soul A resiliency that demands its due, A strength that builds when trouble's taken toll And time has tripped upon its ordered queue. It seems not to be a matter of choice But a need commanded in future's voice.
...strength found in life's blessings...fortitude in this pen...your life in continuance. A well written sonnet...not dusty...but of fine patina found in ones future.
