“The means to gain happiness is to throw out from oneself like a spider in all directions an adhesive web of love, and to catch in it all that comes”

Temporary Tapestry

Silver spun
labyrinth

skillfully tatted
suspended threads
of
silken iridescence
in
enticing design

Dew sequined beacons
ensconced
in the
mystic maze
of
entwined entrapment

The
tenacious lure
a transient captor
of
elusive dream
and
curiosity's quest

If one
dares
penetrate
the
geometric silence
or
falls prey
in
innocence
to Nature's
temporary tapestry.

I love the wrought iron spindle shape and the web within it. This delicate poem tugs at me and draws me towards the intricate beauty of the words spun by the author -the weaver of natural and unforgetable treasures.

Ah Taylor, I love that quote from Tolstoy...that's exactly how love should be spread and exactly how it should stick to all unsuspecting victims. Your poem is the icing on the web. Precious!

there is beauty and danger within nature's tapestry ... if one's imagination is captured the beauty of its design, its lure is to be cherished ... if one becomes physically ensnared in its web, for the purposes of consumption, its beauty is inconsequential ... a beautiful and thought provoking poem you're weaved, Taylor ...

Wonderful write, love the imagery...a spiders web is a fascinating thing...just as our life, you never know when that unexpected visitor may come in that will either make us stronger or so often they tear down. Again I must say that this is a wonderful write.

The depths to this are phenomenal Taylor. Metaphorically it is striking and I found myself almost hypnotised.

of
elusive dream
and
captor's quest.

Beautiful Poetry Taylor
I look at myself as that loose tread
On a tapestry, wondering should I pull it?

The web of mystery spins the mind into a vortex of dreams. It traps the the Muse and she pens the maze to make life more interesting with adventure. You are awesome when you treat us to your world of nature Taylor. I really admire this pen. It's a keeper as is our friendship.

Taylor ...

Tolstoy caught far more than he bargained for in his webs.

There is certainly a limited duration in all things corporeal, beautifully portrayed in the sinister spiders web. Not all things, in this life, are as beautiful, or as safe, as they seem at first glance.

The spiders web represents so much metaphorically, and certainly gives us an insight into much more than we bargain for at times. Sometimes getting too close, to what appears as beauty, can ensnare one in something they never bargained for.

I like this new direction you're going in ...

That is very good, indeed. You caught me in the web right away... and we never let go. 'Tis an outstanding bit of writing... in an area that makes me feel inadequate. A master's touch!
