All people should be free to be who they are. If we love them, we should accept all of them and not just the parts that please us. Excellent, insightful poem, Ron.

I found levels of truth here, Ron... a cry for every creature to be left to what he/she is, does. Humans learn, listen, find happiness when they feel they are not censored, not judged, not controlled in any way.

At the end, I kept hearing the voices of women who say "I'd love to go but my husband won't let me" or "doesn't like me to go out"... it isn't about the husband, it's about allowing someone to live our lives for us.

What you have written will be in my library... it is part of my own life credo. Great piece! katy xox
