This is simply beautiful, Ron. I am not so sure I share your sense of winter in that I rather like the winter. It makes me want to settle in and cozy up, steal catnaps in the middle of the afternoon. I am already teased by thoughts of big pots of soup, simmering on the stove, adding their rich fragrance to my home and the sweet scent of yeast from the homemade bread rising in the kitchen; family and friends gathering round waiting to enjoy the winter's fare...followed by a long afternoon nap. Fragrances of winter: snow, evergreen, wood fires and special homemade treats...it just doesn't get much better than that!
