Snowstorm at My Sister's Home

Snowy Spring
It snowed again the other day,
when spring will come, I cannot say.
Weather sure seems out of whack.
Like the courage of conviction I lack.
I long to see spring flowers grow,
robins' return, their red breasts show.
Daffodils and crocus in bloom,
the scent of lilac fills the room.
With a cold sharp wind and drifting snow,
so many in a hurry with no place to go.
The Arctic vortex continues to show.
When it comes to weather; you never know.
We know the cause but do not act,
stuck in our ways and filled with tact.
We do not question the status quo,
just go about our business, as if we know.
We are much smarter than the facts.
Convenience determines all our acts.
Cheaper is better in a throw away world,
use it or lose it is our mantra told.
So, if the summer is way too hot and dry,
we'll just order more air conditioning on the fly.
For we have no time to see what we are doing,
got a fad to catch on the way to our undoing.

Here in UK we thought Spring had arrived last week...
I was at the beach with 25 degree Sunshine...
today barely 13 degrees, damp and cold and raining....
The ups and downs are weird....
We cannot afford to ignore the obvious signs any more...
Diana...
Keeps us on the run,
Buying milk & bread,
Cause stores running low is our dread,
Pretty soon we will be bitching about the hot sun,
Hopefully we won't get overdone...-e-
Of course we will eventually pay the price......eventually......
But....In the mean time we have no choice but to experience flip flop seasons and experience the 4 seasons in a few days time....
Cheers,
Dan
Well spoken !
Heard on radio yesterday about station in Milwaukee playing Christmas
Music. Listeners were thrilled !
Watched a MPTV special the other day with Bill Nye
the Science Guy. He's been travelling & speaking & debating
about Climate Change. Old guy like me, but he's still thin.
We will all be "pushing up daisies" when the coastal seas all rise.
Good Luck to our descendents ✌️🌈🍀
Love ya!
