She was confined to her bed for weeks as her due date drew near. Suzanne's pregnancy was risky, alright; thanks to her friends and family, she risked becoming a BIG woman!

          RISKY PREGNANCY

"Hi, Honey," said Ron, "How do you feel?
What did you do today?"
"Well, I read a good book; and a long nap I took;
and I opened your mail -- okay?"

"Mother came by with a strawberry pie;
(I saved a small piece for you)
And Deanna looked in, said, 'You used to be thin;
Have some fudge,' and she had some, too."

"Audrey Ellen came up with some juice in a cup,
and said I should drink each drop;
Then came Mrs. Barnes with a cake in her arms;
When will the banquet stop?"

"Oh, did I tell you the Pastor was here?
His wife sent squash casserole.
He sat on that seat, and told me to eat
every piece in the two-quart bowl."

"I've thought of a diet; perhaps I'll try it.
(How boring that would be.)
And you know it is true , I am eating for two;
the baby needs more than me!"

"Daddy regretted that he couldn't come;
he sent two hoagies from Mac's.
Then John and Paul decided to call;
they brought some assorted snacks."

"All in all, 'twas a routine day.
Say, Ronnie, do you think maybe
I won't look as sweet in a size five 'Petite'
after I have the baby?"
