A Beautiful Rainy Day

Hello  out there to Stormspinner
I’m truly happy to report
That the rain storms in Texas
Found a satisfying way to abort

By sending showers to Florida
With wonderful rain falling down
It’s like God created an umbrella rainfall
To wet and soak the ground.

It’s been months since we’ve seen rain
At least more than a shower
In years we’ve not had such a drought
That took away our grass-growing power.

But last night the sky opened up
And poured water upon our dry earth
Now, we can sit back peacefully
And watch the magic of nature’s rebirth

Nature’s beauty will begin to grow,
The grass, shrubs, flowers and bushes
Then people will get out their mowers
Walking behind them with strong pushes.

Thank you Lord for the rain,
Thank you for the dark clouds in the sky
Most folks might think this is a bad day
But it is the nearest blessing nigh

To being a miracle
After such a long dry spell.
It’s a beautiful rainy day.
