Breath of Winter The breath of winter’s coming on I feel it in the air I turned on my heater today For the first time this year. Its forty degrees during mid-morning Much colder last night I guess For when I woke up I had the comforter over me Snuggling in the heated warmth no less. There was dew on the ground I thought it looked like frost The grass looked wet and white As though the color green had gotten lost. Time to crank up those warm heaters Snuggle in the toasty warmth of pleasing heat Cuddle with your loving children about you While daddy massages your cold, cold feet. © 2007 Jeanette Cooper

Jeanette, You make looking forward to winter a good thing! I personally, love the warmth of spring and summer. I embrace the cold though, for it leaves you with a vibrancy that the warmth cannot duplicate. I often go to the shore, and breath in the cold air from the ocean. IT is quite exhilarating, and rejuvenating..

Just got my first oil delivery 3.69 a gallon. Good thing I locked in this Winters fuel oil at 2.59 a gallon otherwise I like Winter and this poem.
