Animal instinct..........
Animals have no instinct,
for sure they cannot tell.
When mother earth is planning,
to heat, crack and swell.
Many scientists disavow,
countless stories all around.
Yet animals are sent scurrying,
in search of higher ground.
Birds begin to chatter,
in their calls you hear their fright.
They look for taller trees.
Or they rise up and take flight.
Looking for a place to hide,
others scatter on the ground.
No way they could know you say,
why are they running all around.
Keep an eye on nature,
feathered and furry friends alike.
Their instincts never fail them,
when earthquakes are about to strike.
Standing straight, ears perked,
they stealthily size up the day.
We have technology, scientists study,
why are they first to get out of the way?

This is a wonderful piece filled with rhyme and melodie. The images you have presented here are fantastic and no matter what the scientists say, I think a true soul knows better. I enjoyed this much!

My neighbors told the same story.
Despite the "learned stuffed ones", Fauna has pain, instinc, feelings, and can reason themselves to a solution.
Am with you, and as CJ said...Amen to that!
