Sounds of spring.....

Weather is warm, sun shining bright,
cool breeze flowing cleansing the air.
Ducks swimming calmly about,
horses carrying on with flair.

All the wonders and sounds of spring,
bursting forth, reaching up to pearly gates.
Observing people jogging by,
others pushing strollers, some on skates.

Children laughing playing with friends,
around a pool parents emulate.
Amazing how simple life really is,
when one takes the time to contemplate.

Squirrels scampering across the road,
only to climb up another tree.
Flying across from branch to branch,
folly to examine, such a treat to see.

Coyote and Deer off in the distance,
one an opportunist, one at peace.
Each scouring the grounds for food,
for their time on earth is but a lease.

Hawks hovering high above,
a daunting sight, wings spread wide.
The cry of an Eagle penetrates,
small animals scampering off to hide.

Subtly rearranging the landscape,
a small gravel path kicking up dust.
Watching it float and pass on by,
how many ignore, yet see we must.

Taking a walk, meeting new friends,
or sitting under a tree reading a book.
Life in all forms are in abundance,
all one needs to do is take a look.

When all you need is at your finger tips,
why waste time worrying of what has taken place.
Relax and enjoy all that is,
as life is short, soon we will be but a trace.
