“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.” John Muir
A cool breeze arrives from
The glacier topped,
High mountain peaks.
It chases away the heat
From the meadow
And gently sets its grasses
And wildflowers
To dancing in the sun.
Along the perimeter
Mighty conifers sway,
Sending their fresh scent
To perfume the clear air,
While a sparkling stream flows through,
Giving its pure waters
To any who would drink of it.
From the trees
Gracefully lumbering,
Ever vigilant,
A grizzly sow and
Her two cavorting cubs
Appear, as if in answer
To the call of
The mighty eagle
Soaring majestically above
On warm currents of
High mountain air.
Made me feel like I was there. Remembering the times I briefly stopped in places like that.
Coincidently, the story I am writing right now as part of my book has Tor in just such a place. But there are no grizzly bears because it is in the French Alps. I hope you don't mind if I steal a little bit of your excellent imagery to put there.
