Why several religions have chosen their chief god to be the sun. I remember February and March when it was still cold in Wisconsin and the white snow had turned all crusty and black with coal soot from furnaces. We couldn't wait for spring to come and for dandelions to pop up everywhere in the new green grass as yellow flowers soon to turn white with seedpods that picked up the wind and spread them everywhere in the warm sun.
Such worthy sentiments. Winter can be beautiful, but harsh, long and enduring. How glorious the sun, no only for its warmth but for its light. We couldn't see without it, no sun means no means. Lovely.
