Whotta nightmare! LOL

Poem Artwork

... My Muse is dead -
I shot her point blank - right.  Between.  The.  EYES -
There was no reason
Other than she kept disturbing the peace -
MY PEACE of mind -
Waking me up with her frantic rhyming -
The non - stop meter
Fragments of not - yet created poems
Flying about -
Speaking in tongues in the darkness of night -
I thought it was ghosts -
I swear I saw them in the hazy air.
One reached for me -
A crazed female that was armed with a pen
I mean, she was NUTS -
She advanced towards me with pen in hand -
Looked like a knife -
And she had this crazy look on her face -
I heard this...music -
You know that music from the movie 'Jaws'?
Or maybe 'Psycho'?
I yelled at her to 'STOP!'  She wouldn't stop -
Self defense, right -
I reached under the bed and drew my gun -
And pulled the trigger -
Then I rolled over and went back to sleep.
