*I know she's gonna kill me, but I just *had* to write this lil' ole poem for my twin sister...she deserves abit of a payback. Couple years ago, she'd gotten me a card with a picture of a cat all furred out on it ("MRROOOWWWW!"); the caption on the inside said, "I'm sorry...old people scare me." Waitaminnit!! I'm only 11 minutes lder!!! "The fact is, Karla," she said, sweetly, "you're older than me, you'll always BE older than me." So, this is a payback. LOVE YOU, KAREN!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! (((HUGS)))

43???
How can this be??
There is no WAY I can be that old!!
Though my body is telling me so...
Aches and pains are racing through my joints,
They spare none, don't want to disappoint,
Want all of them to share in the fun,
Why limit the excitement to one??
I'll have to invest in some Ben Gay,
Make sure my joints are feelin' okay!
43???
How can this be???
Look at the silver that's in my hair!!
Oh, no...wrinkles showing everywhere!!!!
I'll have to buy Oil of Olay...
Heck, I'll have to buy the whole display!!!!
I'll never get "carded" anymore...
They think I'm young...Karla sure gets sore!!
They think I'm her daughter, not her twin,
No more...not with older looking skin!
43???
How can this be???
HOW can this BE??????

My twin sister, Karen, and I are going
to be 43 (!!) on June 26. If you would,
& I'd be so grateful, drop her a happy
birthday type message...she's been
a bit depressed lately, and I want to
show her she has lots of friends at
Author's Den. Thank you so much!
I wanna make her day. (You guys
are great!!) (((HUGS)))--Love, Karla.
A birthday wish to the two of you...young kids...just remember...there will always be me and others known as your elders.
