Watching the skittish clouds trying to break into sun inspired this one. :)
The weather, a bitch, undecided, in transition, m o o d y: shape-shifting from peace to wildcat temper, from cold to flashing heat, from sun to a raging storm (sometimes all at once). Bet God was laughing when He created Mother Nature, because man will never contain the power she is, or guess to how she will react...today.*
(c) 2007, Karla Dorman (2/9) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * ain't it the truth!!
Mother Nature was created to remind us that we will never be in charge here and when we are dead and gone, she will continue to rage on. Cute poem, Karla!
Take care,
Sherry
Oh this is just delightful, Karla! What a wonderful metaphor for the weather -- we ladies can be a little shape-shifting, can't we LOL
I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Love,
CJ
Hey Karla, I say pay no attention to the weather. Dress warm to suit, yes. Here in toronto it's minus 30C. That's cold, girl. Not even a brass monkey will have much chance at survival without a warm insulated coat. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy...that's my motto. Life's too short to let even the lousy weather dictate otherwise. Take advantage of a romantic fireplace...soft music...cuddle with hubby...you get my drift!
I'm sorry to report this, Karla, but the weather here in San Diego is so dull, the weatherperson on TV almost falls asleep. However,
it's suggested--we don't have "weather forecasts" here--that this early February weekend we might, we might even get a drizzle. Lordy! Lordy! Is nothing sacred anymore?
Yeah, the only ruuuumble I'm apt to hear is the hype of the announcer when the boxing matches are about to start on TV.
I may be partial--and I am--but I think San Diego is where God vacations.
Okay. Let me have it. I seem to be askin' for it.

Love it! LOL this is one of the best weather writes you have done. Enjoyed totally! :-)
Great write and yes the power and glory of Mother Nature is best compared to a woman then anything else and as a women retains the right to change her mind just when the weather "Man" thinks he can predict her decisions.

yet man has always tried... bet it fun under the duvet on a stormy night, huh huh huh..lol you is magic..
Loved it...reminds me of those old commercials...I think they might have been advertising butter or margarine...remember the lady would say "It's not nice to fool with mother nature!" Wow hadn't thought of that in a long time...oops I think I'm telling my age too! Great write my friend! God's plan was perfect in every way, but humans have messed with the balance of it so much that well, untelling what we see yet!...enjoyed this one!
Blessings,

Yes I think he was amused also for nature cannot be controled but we sure do a fine job of trying to destroy her with all the Global Warming Alerts she is still second agenda.
Good Muse and Write Karla!!!

The laws of nature are perfect, until man upset the equilibrium. Victor
Big Momma Nature doesn't like man giving her a powerplay. That's a pretty ridiculous thought too. Momma don't play.
This is great Karla. Glad you respect her like I do.

Susan
Aye, the weather, she is fickle, especially here in the land called Texas. You captured her fickleness beautifully in this charming, humor-inspired write; very well done! BRAVA!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin sister, Karen Lynn. :D
Karla, your poem is the best weather report yet. One day its hot, one day its cold, one day its storming, and one never knows what God and nature will send our way. Your poem is a kaleidoscope of weather.
