Her poem. "Idol Insanity," inspired this one. I admit it: I'm hooooooked! LOL

Poem Artwork

Secret obsession
revealed as the season comes
to final, screeching

halt:  what will I do
without my reality
shows (although who'd want

that reality?)?
I neeeeeeed my fix of trash; the
news is depressing;

escape into the
world of Idol fantasies:
You know you want to.   :)

Fun write! Not a fan of reality shows, either, but I confess that I sometimes get a kick out of (what I trust is) harmless gossip about celebrity's supposed doin's. News is so depressing, can't make myself watch most of the time. Tend to avoid newspapers for the same reason. Chicken, what I am. Anywaaaay, thanks for another look at the bright side. Laffin' Witya Myfrin [aks Car'lanna Ostrich] xOxOxO....xOX!!

A great write dear friend, I'm not a big fan of the reality shows, but I've got family that wouldn't miss them for the world! But, the secret is this...I used to be hooked on a soap opera to the point that when I was in school, I would find myself putting off homework to watch my recorded soap! It went from bad to worse, so I went cold turkey! I know if I were to watch just one of the reality shows, I would be like a fish...I'd fall the bait, hook, line, and sinker. I could never gamble, if I did once, that would be it...hooked! I don't even tolerate video games well, I've got to beat them before I quit. So for me a sitcom or lifetime or a good book! It's just safer for me that way! I'd never get any writing or papers graded for my class...I'd be glued to the t.v....loved this write though, very creative! Enjoyed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Trash can be as depressing as the news, one need to run faster to lose the stalkers of our sould in the labyrintic chaos of our obsessions.
Well done.

cute write as I listen to the greek battle the persians while typing out emails. You think the war looks bad now, you would think different after a few weeks of what was. I hear that everyone loves watching it though so I do not envie you for it. Just cute. Lady J

Hi Karla,
Although I am one of the three people in the world that has never watched American Idol, I certainly can relate.......I am a Sopranos junkie.....:-)

You've got that right: we need shows like "American Idol" to escape the harsh reality of life. I am glad I love this show; otherwise, I'd go crazy! (Now I have "America's Got Talent" and "So You Think You Can Dance" to look forward to! Ain't reality tv great?? :) ) Very well done, glad Jordin Sparks won "American Idol"! She is going to be a big star!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin sis, Karen Lynn. :D
