Golf...A Newbie's Understanding

what is the point of
this ridiculous
game?? i mean, what is
the object of this sport
someone named GOLF?
What does "golf" STAND for?????

let me get this straight:
you chase this little
white ball around a
hilly course and get
more exercise than
you've ever had in
your LIFE and try to
knock the little ball
into a hole...no,
not one hole, you get
to do this over
and over again...
over and over
again...eighteen times
you get to do this!!...
IN as few strokes as
you possibly can,
WITHOUT knocking it
into a pit of
sand or into the
DEEPEST part of the
lake in the WORLD or
wind up hitting a
tree and having it
(the ball not the tree)
ricochet and WHAPP!!
the danged ball bops you
on the head and there
you are, all laid out,
unconcious and all.
you have to walk a
million miles on this
course...in all kinds of
weather...heat...rain...let
me ask you...do
people ever golf
in the winter?? where
was i...oh, yeah!! in
the rain...thunderstorms
(watch out for that bolt
of lighting!!)...Naaaah...i
think i'll stay home and
watch it on TV
and let someone else
have all of the fun...

STRESSED? whose stressed???

all i'm trying to
do is understand
this game called GOLF!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dedicated to Mr. Rivera...who understands
golf better than I ever could!! :)

LOL. I like watching golf, but me playing it would be tantamount to disaster. I'd wander aimlessly around the course saying "Dude, where's my par?"

Very cute. Its all about mastery - like forming art on a page, just a bunch of words afterall but in their formation superb. Good write
