Karla:

It is maybe not the way to write a poem, but, I think it is the precise way that we all begin - thoughts floating through our brains, many of them worthy, and then on a good day, we reach out and grab one, if we remember what that thought was that we wanted to develop further. Oh, the many great themes that have gotten away, secondary, of course, to a failing memory or a busy day.
