Karla, I love "pack my ride into my bag"! The color is pretty, but I'd be worried a strong gust of wind might blow me away! You're right in your observation that the car seems more like an "accessory" than a vehicle. Enjoyed!

It's Smart, all right! Europe is full of them, parking by twos in single spots in busy, rushing London. Spent all my early life in VW bugs; I think they're cool. When we pay what the Europeans pay, ($8 a gal) things will change. Remind her to drive defensively, though, and to be aware that a lot of the big lumbering hulks can't see her--especially because they're on their cell phones. ;)

It may be smart...but I think it's dumb.... cute for a toy...but not for the highway or busy city streets...and not smart to get caught in a crash! Squashed like a bug...dead like a bug... Sorry... the only good thing is it's BLUE... blue like your eyes.... hugs, lindalaw

I've often think it's the most unsafe car. Once it gets into a crash by another, the car will roll and roll and roll....like a dice!!!!

I would not advise anyone to buy that car.

Karla, that car was born in Norway, the land that screams to be the first among everybody defending the climate. Smart was purchased by Ford because in Norway the cost of that car was incredible high, so high that people couldn't afford it, so they purchased a gas-guzzler instead.

I'd feel claustrophobic in that car. That may be a good way to save gas, but I think it's hideous! I wouldn't want one! Still, a good write, and it may be more economical in the long run! Well done, Karla!

Not only the littlest thing I've ever seen. it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen too. I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing. If it came down to driving a car like that ugly I'd get a horse or even a mule first. No way, now how ! Gross !
