I was planning to sleep in this morning ...

Image of Karla Dorman (c) 2007, Karen Vidra.

Poem Artwork

Toes peek out from under the covers,
taste the floor:  brrrr.  Too cold.  Back
into hibernation with the rest of me ---
fourteen degrees with a windchill of
three.  No plans today, no reason to
get out of bed; no better way to spend
a frosty morn than to be sandwiched
between blankets, toasty comfortable
and w a r m.  Let winter howl --- it can't
get me in here.  But iced fingers can,
and do:  twin sister decides I look f a r
too contented.  She snuggles in and I
scramble out of the security of my
cave --- and you ask why I'm a bear!!

Quite appropriate with these unusual temperaturs. I will admit though it is beginning to get a little crowded with the kitties and the puppies fighting over whose space belongs to who on the bed, especially when everyone wants UNDER the covers....

Be alway safe,
Karen

I agree, it is a snuggle in kind of day, even here in the sub-tropics of south Louisiana . . .
