... knew better than to open the bag: no.
Actually, shouldn't have bought them at
all, these, my undoing. Tempted to eat
one, but we both know it can't be done:
they say you can't eat just one. T r u t h!
One begat two begat three which begat
more and more: ate over half. Cannot
blame the chips: it was my hand feeding
them to eager mouth saying, 'Yes, O yes!'
when it should have been saying, 'No, no,
a thousand times, no!' NO wonder I'm fat
---- Father, forgive me, for I have sinned:
it's been far too damn long since my last
confession: you can see it on my hips ....
This is so cute, Karla, and at the same time, so many can relate to it. This entertaining poem begat a whole lot of entertaining comments, so the benefits were abundant.
Love ya,
Connie
Oh, do I know only too well what you have written... but like the time I smoked some weed, (inhaled to) I had to learn that crunchy, cheesy, crispy bad stuff... crap, now I've got to go buy a bag of Cheetos.
OH yeah, probs with food. Especially chips. Call them 'No-No's.' LOL!
As for the picture: yes, taken at Burleson High School's locker room. We were taking part in a disaster drill; simulating two tornadoes hitting the school. It was 105 degrees out that day: HOT! But we (Karen and I) were lucky: we were victims inside, while others were victims OUTside. Air conditioned comfort! LOL
Thanks to all who've read my silly words, and especially to those who commented. =] Love you all!
So you have problems with food to, eh?
Enjoyed the piece, it was funny.
I see you're pictured in a football locker room. High school? Have some relation on the team? Good job.
Hi Karla, this is sweetly funny. I wish i never knew chips but my mouth seemed to have a strongly bonded love affair with it and it shows on my hips too! (SMILES)

We're past the holidays and all that awful goodness, but chips...yes.
They're still around...tempting us.
Hail Mary full of grace-
Get these chips out of my face.

John

If you put me in front of a bag of Doritos, the same thing happens. I must confess:-)

Biblical in scope and passion, I love the approach and the self-effacement only the wise know how to handle and deliver.
