gotta have 'em. :-)

i've got to have them!
(even though "they" say i shouldn't eat them)
my body just c r a v e s those delicious carbs,
carbs, which the diet industry's condemned!

gimme my pasta!
gimme my bread (white, the soft, squishy kind)!
gimme food that will stick to my ribs!
& who cares if it sticks to my behind!

i've got to have them!
rabbit food just doesn't fill me up!
an hour after i eat it, i'm s t a r v e d!!!
whatta ya mean, i've gotta shape up???

gimme my pasta!
gimme my legumes--gotta have my rice!
gimme food that will stick to my ribs!
gimme food that comforts, food that is nice!

i've got to have them!
how D A R E "they" tell me...why, i have had it!
i eat in moderation, watch my weight!
exercise, too...can't i be fat AND fit???

gimme my pasta!
gimme some candy, gimme veggies, too!
gimme food that will stick to my ribs!
when i don't have carbs, i'm d e p r e s s e d & b l u e.

i've got to have them!
you mean milk and cereal's off the list???
carbs give e n e r g y, good for nerves and brain!
i got one thing to say, and it is this--

GIMME MY PASTA!
GIMME MY CARBONATED SODA POP!
GIMME FOOD THAT WILL STICK TO MY RIBS!
GOTTA STOP LIST'NIN' TO THE DIET COPS!!!!

Ain' nothin' like box of one pound box of Creamettes, a two pound slab of colby, whole stick of real butter, 'salt n peppa' and 4 percent milk bubblin' in the oven for some down home MacNCheeze!! Adkins can kiss my chocolate chips. So world, I say "Eat Hearty" (what gets us all in trouble is we sit on our butts too long during the day).

blessin's,

But at times the pie and ice cream taste so could that I scream for more pie and ice cream! Got to stop commenting now dear it is time to eat, eat eat. Hugs and love your friend Bill xx

Great rant Karla! I'm with you to a point. I say all things in moderation, and that means everything. They are now finding that cutting out one or the other is not the best route. Watch,I heard that in a few months they'll be out with some new findings about how being fat is not as bad healthwise as many think, even though it doen't always look good;-)

AMEN, Karla!! This is so good and I, too, must have my carbs! I am sure the Atkins diet works, but (A.) I need to put on a few pounds and do not need to diet and (B.) I am a pasta freak, so it would never work for me, even if I did need to diet. Great rant.
Take care,
Love,
Jill

RIGHT ON, Karla! Screw them diet cops and the doctors that all the time ask, "why are you not losing weight?" as they sit there smoking a cigarette and munching on snacks in their offices...
Die happy and make a good corpse, that is the only way to go! Peace, Ed & Rufuz (and eat what ya want.) Remember you're not out of shape, round is a shape too!

"Can't I be fit and fat, too?"

That is, indeed, a very good question! We better call Dr. Phil.
