As always, well stated. Poets (artists, true artists) are the dreamers of our world...both bright and dark dreams. And I could not agree with you more...what would this world be without diversity? And yet, some turn even that into a battle cry. Perhaps someday everyone will suddenly become aware of how fragile being actually is?

Ahhhh! Take me to the river and let me be as a single droplet in that fast-flowing, refreshing and life-giving stream!! Very nice, Jude. Wonderful rhythmic flow and gorgeous internal rhyming. When The Poet speaks, suddenly all is well with the world... just trying to rack my brains to think of who might have said something like: "All of life is a metaphor and language is our means of getting a handle on it" - except they would have said it much better than that!! (...Damn, trying to cut back... bet this is still not less than three lines...!!) TY LOL Kate xx

I can be drained from a day's work and become full of energy just by getting involved with thoughts and debates :-) Wouldn't it be a blast if we could all sit at a table and discuss our thoughts? ...of course some of us might dance :-)

This is true beauty of thought poured through your pen, Robert. What I love about poetry is that it is speculative, in a way. Because it is much looser than a novel or even a story, it allows for the reader to form their own thoughts about the meaning of the verses and apply them to their personal situation. Poetry is flexible, thereby offering encouragement to the writer from a multitude of directions. It is so often that I begin a poem with a thought in mind and by the time I have finished it, it has taken on a life of it's own. I am always glad that I stop by your den. Always some food for thought to be found here.
