Great analogy on so many different levels. If you don't say "fuck it" and take the plunge you never have the choice of going with the flow, fighting the current, or finding the balance between the two.

Sometimes we are best off to just dive headlong into the situation at hand. Standing back and objecting to something that we will be forced to accept anyway is a waste of time no matter how we feel about the matter. Most of life is a shade of gray but sometimes we get smacked with black and white and we are forced to learn acceptance. Life is much more enjoyable if we teach our self to be flexible like a willow instead of standing rigid and unyielding like a mighty oak.

stylistically, this is different from what i'm used to reading from you. a bit more chill-out than some of your other work, and it's refreshing. i always enjoy reading your work, especially when you change the pace. and you're right; sometimes, you gotta throw up your hands and say fuck it. it helps keep you sane, i've found.
