Bushwhacked
Heathens here, and heathens there,
I can see them everywhere,
Multitudes enlisted in the call,
Satanic beings one and all
Godless creatures everywhere,
All their tortured souls do bear,
For I know too well their goals,
To bring to Satan all our souls
Yet, I, a kindly spirit,
Pure, of any kind of licit
Will try to save them all,
For I have found the call
It would be arrogant to say,
That only I, God called to sway
Them evil doers away from sin,
There might be more but are they –In,
I have won it fair and square you see
At least at second try to be,
Leading all my flock to Eden
To save America and it’s beacon!

I find humor in this as I’ve know some people who run here and there to do just that….save them all, whether they want to be saved or not. I have no ill will toward them nor do I think their actions are foolish. In fact, I admire them for being so caring toward others. The humor comes when I picture a Monty Python type running amuck trying to save the saved or tossing holy water onto chickens or cows. At least that is what I see when I read this piece. Humor, I guess is like beauty, in the eye of the beholder. Great job, Jasmin!

this piece has been labeled under humour but i do not find anything funny [with exception to the title which i assume to be something to do with G.W.B.]
it could very well be because i am not american.
i think that your description [the world not being black and white] contrasts quite boldly with the satanist/god thing youve got going through the piece... perhaps this is where the humour lies... i am not sure...
