such a betrayal of innocence
defy the skin into which you were born
take me away from this circumstance
because I won't be here anymore
I won't tolerate the submission
of small children and lonely women
take me from this brutal nubian level
into the reality you have forsaken
drag the beaten through your forests
of primordial insults and supremecy
self-ascention to that which you never were
black crayon drawings of wings
you could never flex or spread
turn my back and bare the flesh thereon
let your whip score the delicate skin
biting deep into the heart of justice
beat it till it's a bloody pulp, my friend
because once it is all said and done
your self-made wings will still be of paper
and I'll have long ago released this mortal coil
watching you from heights unknown
as you stumble across your emotional disorders
when I am long gone from this hell
you will still be wishing you could fit in.

You are nothing to me.

Reminds me of Jennifer Connelly's "you have no power over me" speech in "Labyrinth". And, yet, I thihnk it kicks and pricks and sticks with more malevolence and venom. May I never deserve such wrath from another living soul!

Stabbing Pencey Boudreaux by Mary Lynn Plaisance

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
