The fires, floods and wars - makes me wonder why we don't get God's message. We only have one earth, you'd think we'd have learned a thing or two somewhere along the way to keep our earth intact. All this rhetoric about global warming, but still many aren't listening.

The decline started long ago, when the first buffalo was kill for profit, after it the "American way" got out of hand, without limits and without good sense, like a run-away loco towards the abyss taking all the powerless wagons with it.

You bring out many fine points in this piece. Perhaps now trimming trees, bushes and wild shrubs will be allowed in lieu of what happens when you leave things alone. All living creatures need care. Nicely written....

Without doubt America can do anything, even moonlandings when they were impossible.
Coming from a nation, maybe the only friend America has at the mo' I believe America will find a solution to polution, and grow in spirit. Something big is changing in the land of the free, as if Americans are getting less interested in the temporal shallowness, and will save our planet, getting its status back with europe and the world.

Though if ever America loses Englands trust, that's bust.
Yet in my heart I know America will use its might for right.
As the peoples want that, we only ever see the govt on tv, but living in the states for a while, I'd rather team with america than europe....

This is a beautiful poem, Amber, and certainly describes the devastation that California fire has caused. There is a lot of heart and soul in this poem. A great write.

Ahhhhhh, My sweats you're feeling it too!
It's always a reminder on the news!
YOur poem brings many blessings Sweet Amber!
Now, we must see a healing and much taking place, these wildfires are just too much, this is so sad for so many!
WE both have the same on our minds this weekend, since Thursd. I wrote

Bless and keep those on our Western Shore! They have lost so much. I wonder if some are telling them they should move as they did those who live on the Gulf Coast right after Katrina. Bless you, Amber, for telling this so beautifully.

Spreading peace, light and love,
Allowing that to be my only goal

A truly worthy goal, Amber. And I truly hope those souls in California devastated by these horrendous fires can re-build their hopes, and dreams, and lives from the ashes, and that many heed your message.
