"Dwellers, All Are We"

by Amber Moonstone 4/20/07

Dwellers of the earth,
Dwellers of the sea,
Dwellers of the mountains
Dwellers, all are we.

We walk upon the earth,
We swim within the sea,
We climb the highest mountain
Dwellers, all are we.

Come walk upon the earth
Sail along the sea
Reach as high as the mountains,
Dwellers, all are we.

When we listen to the earth,
And we flow just like the sea,
We will stand as tall as mountains
Dwellers, all are we.

Save the Earth,
Savor the Sea,
Sever no Mountains
Dwellers, all are we.

Dwellers of the Earth,
Dwellers of the Sea,
Dwellers of the mountains,
Dwellers, all are we!

Author's Notes: I have no understanding of why I wrote this. I was going to write a poem about Home is Where the Heart Is, and this emerged.

May Love, Peace, and Light Dwell inside of each one of you!

You have a very interesting quality to your work. I can relate to the message of unity and oneness expressed here - seems Gaia-like.
Intriguing how we can begin writing not expecting where a particular piece ultimately takes us. Times like those yearn to be recognized as a connection to Source.

A illustration right out of Magritte's world, and a poem that gives justice to those that don't want to left Mother Earth all disheveled for the next generations to come...that if we don't go Bang!!! ourselves.

Pilgrims indeed.
I guess home is your dwelling place, or if it's in the sea, your plaice.
I saw two fisherpersons both catch the same fish. yup, you guessed it, they said "your plaice or mine" but i ain't ever heard that fishermans tale b4

Absolutely riveting, Amber, indeed, we are all dwellers of a world we are slowly (?) killing. Powerfully penned excellence.

Actually, I can hear a chorus of children singing this on Earth day. Just an idea but it'll work!
