I'm for it - and to get the next generation of kids back to being aware of the burden we put on Nature at times. But what we really need are better gas mileage cars and trucks... and the end of 3-5 car and truck households (unles they are hybrids or something)

AWESOME! AWESOME! Constructed WELL Thought out POEM Amber!
and the kids are lucky to to be able to hear you out! I HOPE you do it!They all need you, as we do!
Love this treasured poem!
WE turned down the HOT water on our heater too, and only use water early mornings before 9:00A.
This poem was written beautifully and with stark naked honesty!
HOpe it's Put UP! for all to see and read! I mean FRAMED for the SCHOOL somewhere!
GREAT job expressing the TRUTH, EARTH DAY is our day, let us show it OUR WAY that we CARE for our EARTH's display!
To me everyday is earth day in the mind, who is not blind!

Our forests are dying,
Our lakes are drying,
Mother Earth is crying,
and we must start trying!

Your poem is beautiful and a reminder to us all that we are the 'grandfathers' of the fate of this country and our children, their children, and HOPEFULLY generations to come. I wish we oould call "Earth Day" "Earth Life" for indeed, we are trying to save the life of the earth.
