I awoke at dawn after a restless sleep

 The Snow Falls

by Amber "V" Moonstone

1/2/14

Waking at the break of dawn, the snow begins to fall

Sitting alone, the snow fallls

Trapped in isolation,  the snow falls

Listening to the howling winds, the snow falls

The clock ticking on, the snow falls

Darkness setting in, the snow falls

flickering candlelight, the snow falls

fresh fruit on the table, the snow falls

Silence is heard, the snow falls

Waiting for a sign, the snow falls

Door swings open, the snow falls

Warm Embraces, the snow doesn't matter any longer!

Hard to believe a substance so beautiful as snow can change so many things and so many lives. Snow Falls can be as dangerous as fire light yeilds warmth. Snow falls and fire light stir warm emotions that live on forever.

Beautifully thought out!

the snow must have fallen pretty hard in your neck of the woods, as seen in you pic ... a nice cognac with warm embraces always melts away the chill ;)

The snow has been falling here since the beginning of December...but thankfully there are warm embraces to ease the winter blahs...very nicely done, Amber!

So romantic; I would not mind having a bit of that snow over here. Thank you for sharing these meaningful sentiments, Amber. Love and best wishes along with Happy New Year to you,

I know the feeling, Amber. I, myself, have had my fill of snow after living in New York City, Long Island, NY, Wyoming and Colorado. Ooops! Almost forgot about that stopover that lasted a year and a half in Chi-Town.

The silence and blanketing of softly falling snow is a fine metaphor for the heart that is vitally alive yet resting in anticipation of a longed-for return. Clean, clear lines and a quiet voice enhance the build towards the warmth and inherent exhilaration of the finale: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! :) Bless you and all your babies in the days and months ahead, Amber xx
