Robo Call

I thought I'd get through this election without those dreaded robo calls but I was not to be.

I just had my first robo call.
It nearly drove me up the wall.
Lies came flying from my phone.
And even though I was alone
I yelled as loud as I could cry
“That is a great big stupid lie.”
He hit me with another lie
And I say, “Hey, Wait, stop it guy!”
I was quick to identify
that this was not a real guy.
But what could I say or do
before this robo call was through.
I started pounding on the keys
I think it was on the “threes”.
All too soon the call was complete
and I was jumping on my feet
I guess the calls will come each day
and there is nothing I can say.
I wish there’s something I could do
and someone that I could sue.
I hope they call while I am gone
to put a yard sign in my lawn
instead of just sittin’ and grievin’
I’ll use that yard sign to get even.

Larry, I feel your angst, be assured, you are not alone. I set out a game plan.

Plan A was for calls before the convention and there were many...I simply announced, usually to a live body, that I was a registered communist and this usually shut them up and got them off the phone.

Plan B, those calls received after the convention were met the statement that I had just voted, call ended.

Of course, Larry, if you get a 'live' caller you could interrupt their spiel by saying wait a minute, before you say another word, I want to pray for you. That call may end quickly too.

Cheers and hang in there,
Dan

I disconnected my phone after the first atrocious, hate-filled, Robo Call I received. And I'll re-connect it only after this atrocious, hate-filled election is finally over.

When I get one of those I just put them on hold with a special music recorded in a 4 gigabites CD, I hope they had fun if a recording was made.
