The change is coming from the 'outside' in the way of weather, natural phenomena, celestial disturbance, and man made self-inflicted trauma. The conflict comes from the 'inside' in the way of personal challenge, grief, bewilderment, depression, anxiety, fear. It is said we are "at the cross roads". A time of choosing a new path, deciding a self and community direction, venturing into the unknown, maintaining our true integrity of being. Or, while at this junction of a quickly approaching 'paradigm shift', we may choose sameness, stay with what is familiar, place great effort to maintain "predictability".

Change has always been here and it might be the only thing that does not change. If change does not change then it contains its own negation. It is like matter and anti-matter, the stuff of the universe. It is a universal truth.
And a stew-pot of change going on too. Natural or manmade is the raging debate now isn't it? And in the middle of the maelstrom we swirl and twirl to the forces around us while everything greens and a select few get wealthier from it. Like your new bio-pic Deb.

I agree that the atmospheric changes taking place in this era are
becoming more prevalent...what used to be subtle,isn't anymore
Everyone notices the weather changes,places that never had a tornado getting one ,etc.We can only look and wonder, or we can stay alert to what is taking place and prepare ourselves to take action according to what is needed. If we truly believe the Bible(I do) we are not surprised by these happenings. I don't take the bible literally after all men wrote it, though inspired, error is probable. I do think it has enough authenticity to tell us what Creator wants us to know, if we are serious in our study of it, as we had to be in school to learn what the masters taught us!...Sorry for the lengthy, comment Debby, your superb poetry always stir my senses;-)Eileen

I am fascinated by this and the astute comments below. Indeed, we are water in all its phases and stages - I can relate to each. We can not change our essential essence which remains fundamental whatever form it presents itself in. Water will have and find its way - always. It is irresistible. Bless you Debby. Debby, excellent write, the problem with mankind is that he has to be teetering on calamity before he responds or reacts. By then, it may be too late and no governmental agency in the world will be able to fix it.

I see a deep point buried in the short comment by Ronald Hull. "Water is meant to go from vapor to liquid, to ice. When that stops, we cease to exist." Only 25 thousand years ago, glaciers covered much of the North American continent. The water cycle was whole and moving perfectly. Now, the ice is almost gone, with only a thin melting sheet remaining in the Arctic circle. When this is gone (coming soon) the water-cycle will be broken, finally, forever, leaving nothing but the water/evaporation short cycle. Important? Maybe. Some scientists say that this is the change track necessary to producing a planetary surface resembling that of the Moon and Mars. Perhaps this is the change we need ...
