Love a woman with real self esteem. Not the push over type. This poem expresses the view of a strong will woman, that isn't going to support any man. Nor subject her friends to his whine. Excellent write.

I had to laugh at this one Lori. I heard a whine this morning and unfortuantely the cork was at the wrong end and they took offence when I suggested it be placed in the mouth. This is cool. Thanks for the laugh and heads up for the day. Love it!

Ooooo... rather more Dorothy Parker than Wendy Cope, I reckon... according to my palette, at least! Think Paul is referring to a poem in which the bloke has left and the woman is beruing only the fact that the corkscrew went with him...!! Vintage acerbic wit done with much class and very well-formed. Guess s/he will next be found in Oddbins... K xx
