You Color My Heart

The faithful sun
colors the horizon in artistic splendor
providing an evening of beauty
which differs for every observer

Like the sun on the water
you color my heart
with the setting of your love
promising a new horizon
with each gentle touch

Fill me with your passion
overwhelm my honesty
with the crudeness
of your careful tongue

I long to feel the deception
of your imagination
locking my dreams
in the grip of your affection

Love me, until my unbelieving heart
believes in love again
and I am willing to die
for the sweetness of your addiction

Love me, and I will be
yet another masterpiece
willfully hanging on the wall
of your heart’s collection

Wonderfully expressive, girl...oh yes!

I envy your speaking so many languages...I can barely
get by with street stuff, in spanish, and would love
to learn Italian (my heritage language).

Keep up the fine writing.
