Autumn's Breath

Autumn is a paradox in LA. Some of our trees bloom as if it's spring, and others lose their leaves as if winter is coming.

Two Haikus: Los Angeles, Autumn

Yellow yew blossoms

Burst against pellucid sky

Lazy birch leaves drift.

 

Joyous sunflowers

Framed by lapus lazuli

Skies of geese in flight soar on.
