Trivial pursuit
You think it’s a game
But it is really the name of my life
I spent most of my years
In pursuit of the trivial
Never looking for depth
I’d probably have drowned in it
Never considering intelligence
I personified the dumb blonde
And was proud of it
I manipulated rather than contemplated
Used my body when my mind would have
Sent me the other direction
If I had only had one
I fell for every pretty face
And if he had a nice ass too
I stayed awhile
Never thinking about tomorrow
That was twenty four hours away
And I wasn’t sure I could count that far
Or wanted to
I loved too easily and gave up too soon
I cried over spilt milk
And soap operas
Wishing I knew what was happening in my life
But not wanting to look too closely
I might not like what I saw
And I only wanted to see easy
Trivial pursuit
The game of my life
Although I didn’t win
I quit while I was ahead
Found a new game
One with better odds
I’m gonna be a winner this time
Just watch and see

It's a shame that wisdom is not a passport we get early in our life's travels. I've been there, done that, and recovered. As I tell my kids all the time, I have a whole head full of useless information and I came by it honestly. Go forward, Sue, the worst is behind you, and I'm sure you will be a winner. You deserve it, go for it!

This is very interesting as I like trivia and that show called Jeopardy is a good one to excercise trivia. Your descriptive passages makes the message very clear.
