barely there... soft whispered words in the night rarely heard anymore barely there... a touch, gentle, soft hardly felt anymore barely there... a whiff of perfume down a long dark hall gone so quickly gone i'm barely there... a fleeting memory just a thought that hardly ever crosses your mind...

Sad and bittersweet when love does not die but more or less fades away and when we finally realize it the ache of what was and what cannot be again is unbearable. I know this feeling of which you speak all too well Sue.
