For the person who told me their was sunshine in the world. May my little candle bring sunshine to some one tonite.:)
There's a candle in the window
Do you see it's light
Beckoning you to come in
On this cold, frigid night
Get shelter from the storm
On this Christmas Eve
The homeless and the lonely
You don't have to leave
****************************
There's a candle in the window
See it's welcoming glow
Come in and sup with me
Don't walk alone in the snow
I think I may have a coat
To fit your tiny frame
I'm sure that our sizes
Are about the same
****************************
There's a candle in the window
For the man in despair
For the woman being abused
And not welcome anywhere
For the weary and the sick
Come into my light
Let not one person be alone
On this Christmas Eve night
Oooooo Linda this is sooooooo tender, touching and heartwarming! You surely must be an angel in disguise for the goodness of and in you shines ever so bright!

Lovely write, Linda! Beautiful! (((HUGS))) and much love, your Tx. friend, Karen Lynn. :D Hope your Christmas was nice (mine was!), and hope you have a blessed 2004!~
Linda, this is so compassionate. There's a lot of people out there with no place to call home. I, myself spent Christmas one year in a homeless shelter. There was hope for me after all--I'm doing much, much better now. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.

Linda,
I was given the nickname "Sunshine" some years ago for my upbeat, perky personality. It's a label I cling to, especially in times of darkness - sometimes, it's that Sunshine that keeps me going.
On another note, this is an especially difficult time for many who feel alone. I stayed with the women at the shelter until quite late last night... It felt wonderful for me to be able to do that; I suppose it reminds me to keep perspective.
This is so, so beautiful, Linda. Thank you for sharing this and for the wonderful gift of being who you are.
Very beautiful Linda, written with a true heart. For there is sunshine in this world, though it be oft times obscured by the storms of life...it is still there, and it is enhanced by those who hold forth their candles so bright. You and your heart, keeps the flame lit for those in the dark.
