I couldn't agree more! We don't exchange gifts in my family. We just get together. It really is less stressful & less of a shock to one's budget. Great insight here!

I agree with you Annabel, too many have put a price tag on Christmas. I listen to what some of these kids are asking for and I am shocked. I have made it known that next year will be a homemade Christmas from us. I already have the knitting needles going and the craft room is a glow.

Yes I agree that most have allowed shopping and spending to dominate a season that should be about love and family more than anything else.

In a way I feel jealous of not being able to shop this Christmas. I am flat broke. My son had to buy my meds this month. But Christmas has become way to much commercial. Most people forget we are supposed to be celebrating of GOD's SON.

'Christmas is A Comin' I've read this poem, Shelia. It's very good and carrying some good advices, especially...regarding debts. Nonetheless, despite the after sorrows, it's nice when someone offer little gift to one who have nought, plus the love and peace. A merry Christmas to you and a wonderful New year.
