Take me back to the time when . . . .
Thousands of shimmering leaves, translucent in noonday's sun shaded, cooled, gave comfort as I sat under my Tree. Breeze rustled her boughs, birdsong serenade, fresh grass, marigolds, roses sedated me as I drowsed, drifted in my summer reverie. Today I close my eyes, inhale, to soak up Nature's gifts, each breath brings waves of childhood memories when every summer day was so free. June 26, 2009 Donelle Knudsen
