Fatal Attraction

I looked deep within the abyss of my soul,  searching for the truth of life. While searching the truth was found and simple in it's beauty.

I am you, and maybe I am you, I am many souls of the past.  With each new life I gain spiritual knowledge, solutions within my grasp.

As I  was dining out  one evening, an evening of my youth, your presence I felt in the room.

I glanced up and met your eyes and knew that you were no stranger,  but a soul mate from my past.

I was drawn to you  with spiritual force, I could feel your spirit entwined with mine. Heat rushed across the room!

The energy between us was so  real others turned to stare.  Cheeks turned red for a fleeting moment as they felt the heat of passion flow.

Not a word was spoken between you and I but the energy was drawing us near. I stood up for a moment, being pulled by an invisible force, wanting to touch you to be sure you were real.

As I stood, a chill came through the room freezing me in place.  The heat that burned the cheeks of those near was now gone, the invisible force was broken.

I glanced around and there you were, a smile to melt the ice.  As I looked deeply into those icy eyes, I realized, you were my fatal attraction.

We had been this route in a lifetime before, spirits closely entwined.  I  knew we'd met before like this, our souls full of passion.

We'd fought and loved and hurt one another but the heat of passion remained.  Even in death and living again, the flames had never died.

I stood there with love in my heart, wanting to cover the  distance between us.  That icy chill that now filled the room, reminded me of our pain.

I'd lived before within your arms, the pain is still alive in my soul.  With knowledge gained from a life time ago, this time I broke this fatal attraction.

Thrilling. Dangerous theme but a heart pounding, entrancing pull this has. It's been awhile and I missed your work, Sherry. Awesome write.
