People see this man
And will cross the street
They are afraid of him
But they don’t realize
That he is not what
He seems to be
.
He was a young man
Full of dreams and honor
Served his country well
Until he witnessed that
The battles were hell
.
Sent home wounded
In mind and body
.
The wounds in time will heal
The mind never forgets
Nightmares make him
Toss and turn
Giving him the sweats
.
Doctors say in time
That too will stop
But for some it never ends
Until they finally give up
.
Some take to the streets
With others of their kind
Begging for a meager
Nickel or a dime
.
People don’t realize that here
Is a man with medals he has won
Defending his country
Trained to be combat ready and strong
.
Many don’t make it…when they come home
They can’t adjust…and try to go it alone
But when the nightmares become to strong
They take their own lives…and that is wrong
.
We must try harder to help all that we can
I don’t want to hear that there aren’t enough
Doctors to take care of these needy men
.
We must learn the symptoms when they return
Help them to get back to a normal happy life
With the love and help of their families…
We can win this fight
.
So when you see a man on the street
Don’t sneer at him and think him a bum
He was overseas fighting for your rights
But home his nightmares have begun
Where would we be without them?

Geeez Somebody At A D Really Cares!
TRASK...
And there is a growing number of people on the street who have fought the war of the office and never quite made it in corporate society, ending up on the street even though they were making money at the time, but not enough to pay for all the transgressions by others in the "superiority" game most can't play well.
