Haven't been feeling myself
lately
Not wanting to write
For reasons unknown
I have no blockage
Of my mind and thoughts
Not within myself
Its not right
As you might know
Writing
Is my life, my love.

Just feeling sort of down
Not coming around
Everything seems to be
Coming down on me
Not enough time to do
What needs to be done
No matter how early I wake
To start a new day.

My taxes have been raise
Five folds
From fifteen hundred a year
A shock to my pockets
And meager savings.

When I thought
All was going well
In my restful twilight years
Now I have to turn
Or look for other alternatives.

This morning
I made my breafast
Oatmeal and coffee
Have to watch my weight
You Know?

I slowly and heavy footed
Walked outside to my patio
To enjoyed a clear day
I see from within
As I opened the sliding doors
I am welcomed by an unusual
Blast of chilled wind
I noticed the clouds moving fast
As if nature, for today
Had something in store
To surprise us.

CNN last night had warning
For neighboring Counties
Surrounding us
Of possible tornados
Now I worry
These winds I see are stranger
Then usual
I sense a storm brewing
Somewhere near us
But the skies are clear
I pray the Lord keeps
Evil away
And for the unfortunate
That must face
Such unwelcomed calamities.

My screen enclosure
Is acting like a musical instrument
For the fast moving winds
Are whistling a strange tune
The tree branches
Manufacture their own rhythm
Adding an eerie sound
To Nature's Symphony
As the trees bend
Bowing
Humbly to whatever
Is advancing towards them.

I ENJOYED THIS SHARING, WILLIAM. THE HUM-DRUM OF EVERYDAY LIVING CAN BECOME STALE-MATED, BUT ISN'T IT AMAZING HOW 'HIS' NATURE DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS CREATED TO DO; REMINDS US TO 'BOW HUMBLY' TO IT'S 'SYMPHONIC WINDS' WHICH ADVANCE AND...CHANGE OUR THOUGHTS. FINE WORK, THANK YOU. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Down to earth poeming Bill, I know the feeling, they went up on some of my icons also. But I also cooked my own goose. Roast him right in the oven

I wonder if it is the season, or the weather that makes a few of us feel just as you do? Just keep putting down your thought on paper, it really helps...love and peace

Some days might just be best spent sleeping. Perhaps we should bring back hibernation, spend our winters nested near a cozy fire locking the world outside. I hope the weather calms down for you...the last thing you need to deal with ia a tornado.
Take care,
Sherry

William it seems we go along one day at a time and suddenly ZAP it all comes down on us at once and we feel the weight of everything. I sure can relate to how you feel, and I hope the things will lift soon so you are better able to take it. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep writing , no matter what it is...it helps!

Love and hugs, Eileen
