A hopeful poem. Unfortunately, pesticides used in agriculture are probably to blame for much of their decline. But I just read that feral or wild bees are much more resilient to the kinds of ailments affecting domesticated bees. Probably because they get their nectar from the wild plants and trees rather than crops that are heavily covered with pesticides, supposedly to keep them healthy, creating the opposite as a result.
Bees are so very important in our circle of life every day.
Those critters buzz around, collect pollen, and go on their way.
We've been focused on this virus crisis but this too shall pass.
But when it comes to bees, we simply cannot live without them.
Every bee's life truly matters, in our future as in our past...
